Happy 3^rd Anniversary!

This week marks the third year of the What’s Your Point? Blog.

It was November 20^th of 2005 that all of this started. It has only been kept

going by my need to tell my children my thoughts when they read this one day in the future.

It’s also a good way to document my successes and failures in my quest to tackle my 1000 things to do before I die.

The traditional 3 year anniversary gift is leather but I think I’ll pass.

At this point in my quest to defeat my list, I have completed 357 of the 1000 items.

That is a whopping 35% in my 37 years of life. At this rate, I’ll need to live to be 105.7 years of age to complete the list. Definitely possible, but I’ll have to step up my success rate if I want a good shot at it. On the up side, I’ve completed more items this year than ever before! Of course, I just made the list this year so I was more aware of my deficiencies.

Of note, November is National Novel Writing Month and it is also my third year to attempt it on the same novel. Unfortunately, I am progressing no faster at it. I am averaging one chapter a year and I am currently on Chapter 13. I hope to at least finish through Chapter 14 by this year. I am currently just over 19,000 words and have the last 11 Chapters roughed out.

November also brought the first birthday of my second spawn, Emma.
