#462 Go to a Drive-In Movie theatre

I probably went to the Drive-In more than I recall, but a few instances stand out in my mind. I watched Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone at the Skyvue Drive In in Jonesboro, AR. It was in 3-D! and it fell on the heels of the other popular space operas of the time, namely Empire. It starred Peter Strauss (Dirty, Sexy, Money) and Molly Ringwald! This was one of her first appearances. I remember thinking it was cool what with the 3-D glasses and all. I also remember Ice Pirates which I viewed at the Drive In.

It came out in 1984 so I’m pretty sure that’s the last movie I watched at the Drive-In.

I, personally, enjoyed the drive-in. It will be missed.
